If someone from outside the European Union wants to work in the Netherlands, this can be done as a highly skilled migrant (kennismigrant), with a European Blue Card, or via an intra-corporate transfer.
Highly Skilled Migrant (Kennismigrant)
The Highly Skilled Migrant Scheme is a facilitated fast-track immigration scheme to attract highly skilled migrants (HSM). As a company, you must be recognized as a sponsor by the Immigration Service (IND) before you apply for HSM visa and work permits. There is a salary threshold applicable (2024):
EU Blue Card
The EU Blue Card is a work and residence permit for highly skilled labor migrants from outside the EU. Important criteria here are the salary threshold and education requirement (2024):
Intra-corporate transfer
Based upon the intra-corporate transfer immigration scheme, managers, specialists, and trainees can be transferred to the entity established in the Netherlands. They are entitled to a work and residence permit (single permit) called ‘intra-corporate transferee permit’ (ICT-permit).

In order to use the fast-track immigration procedure, the company must first be recognized as a sponsor by the IND. This will take about 8 weeks. After approval, we can apply for visas and permits. We are happy to take care of this process. We ensure that the residence permit is handled within 4 weeks. Your new employee can then get to work immediately. All of this for a fixed fee! To hire highly skilled migrants (kennismigranten), the company must be a recognized sponsor at the IND. Are you not one yet? We will arrange this for you.
We apply for the residence permit. It takes approximately 2 weeks for the application to be approved by the IND.
The MVV visa is issued within 10 working days. This is not necessary for some nationalities.
Your employee receives the residence permit, registers with the municipality, and receives the citizen service number (BSN number).
We also ensure that the family of your new, foreign employee receives a Dutch residence permit.
The Dutch tax office will respond to the application for the 30% ruling within 10 weeks. If necessary, we request additional documents.
