What the M-form is

The tax return for the year you moved

The M-form is the income-tax return for the year you immigrated to or emigrated from the Netherlands. We have the mandate to file it directly, so you never chase the tax office for the form. We sort the resident / non-resident split, file it correctly and explain every step. Taxed abroad on the same income? We check if a tax treaty applies.

You can see how we handle a full return on our page about help with your tax return. Did your 30% ruling start or end that year? That changes your return.

Frequently asked

What is the M-form?
The M-form is the tax return for the year you moved to or from the Netherlands. It splits the year into a resident and a non-resident part.
Do I have to file an M-form?
If you immigrated to or emigrated from the Netherlands during the tax year, yes. The Dutch tax office usually invites you. We check whether it applies to you.
What is the deadline?
For a move in 2026, you file the M-form by 1 July 2027. Need more time? We can request an extension for you, usually up to a full year.
How does the 30% ruling fit in?
In the migration year, when your ruling started or ended changes your return. It is case-specific, so your advisor checks it for you. Read more in our 30% ruling guide.
Can you file it for me in English?
Yes. The form is Dutch, but we file it for you and explain everything in English.
What does it cost?
You get one clear one-off price for your situation. Ask for your personal price and we reply within one working day. Single starts from €325 and Couple from €425, one-off and including VAT.
