Business interruption insurance covers the gross profit you lose when insured damage brings your business to a standstill. Think of fire, water damage or storm. Vandalism and theft count too. It pays towards what the standstill costs you: missed profit and the bills that keep coming, from rent and salaries to loan repayments.
The benefit usually runs until your building is rebuilt or your turnover is back at its old level. Most policies cap that period, from six months to several years. The cover is not mandatory. It earns its place when your business depends on its premises, equipment or stock.
Our associated company reads the Dutch conditions with you and explains what they mean for your business. You then get advice on the sum and the term that fit, and they arrange and take out the policy for you. The policy itself stays a Dutch contract. They translate what matters.
