TaxSavers exists because clients asked for it. At A&H Finance, we kept hearing the same question: do you know a good tax advisor? In 2018, TaxSavers became the answer.

I was born in Haarlem and grew up in Hoofddorp. In 2002 I completed a bachelor's degree in Small Business and Retail Management at Inholland in Diemen. In 2007 I founded the mortgage advisory firm A&H Finance. I led it from the start, and until the end of 2024 I also worked as a mortgage and financial advisor myself.

I became an advisor because I wanted to help people with their finances, and to explain complicated matters in plain language. Today I lead both organisations together with Boy and Hardy. My role now focuses on management, organisational development, processes and continually improving the client journey.

More and more, I look at the whole picture. For a client, tax, mortgages and insurance do not have to be separate worlds. Take the mortgage process after someone has bought a home: it is all about deadlines, keeping the process on track and managing time. By making the services of TaxSavers and A&H Finance fit together better, I want clients to stop dealing with separate pieces. They get joined-up help across different financial areas.

Technology and automation play an important part in that, but for me they are never a goal in themselves. Digitalisation should make processes smarter and free up time for personal contact with the client. That personal approach has to stay recognisable, even as we keep growing and digitalising.

I also think it matters that we are young, modern organisations where young professionals get the chance to develop. I enjoy sparring with colleagues on complex questions, sharing my years of hands-on experience, and seeing people grow further in their profession.

In the end, I get the most satisfaction from clients who know where they stand financially. Clients who value our service, leave a good review and recommend us with confidence to friends and family.
