Piper is a tax advisor at TaxSavers. She helps Dutch and international clients with income tax returns, provisional assessments and M-forms, and makes a complex process as simple and understandable as possible.
Taxes are important, and they are not going away. That is exactly what draws me to them: I enjoy understanding how the system works, and helping other people understand it too.
I am originally from Jupiter, Florida, in the United States, and have lived in the Netherlands for around three years. My Dutch is at B1 level and still growing. I studied Communication Science and Information at the University of Colorado Boulder, graduating in 2023, and completed a Master of Science in Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam in 2026.
My background is in marketing and communication, and that turns out to be a real advantage in tax. Tax can feel complex and intimidating. My job is to make it clear and easy to follow. I joined TaxSavers as a tax advisor in September 2026.
I help both Dutch and international clients, including people with Dutch or foreign bank accounts and people in cross-border situations. Most of my work involves income tax returns, provisional assessments, so clients know in advance what they will pay or get back, and M-forms: the tax return for the year you move to or leave the Netherlands. I also work on questions about the 30% ruling and on returns for the self-employed.
What I enjoy most is working through a return until everything fits together. I especially look forward to explaining the result to clients: why they need to pay, or why they are getting money back. I want every client to handle their taxes with clarity and confidence, so I make a complex process as simple and understandable as I can.
