How we work

A tax advisor for The Hague, working across the Netherlands.

You share your documents securely. Calls run by phone or on Teams. You speak to the same advisor every time, wherever you are.

The Hague files are rarely standard. Staff of the ICC, Europol, Eurojust and the OPCW have one tax position. Embassy and mission staff have another. A corporate arrival on the 30% ruling has a third. Other positions come up too. We work out which one is yours, then we file on that basis. We also check which country may tax your foreign income under the treaty.

More about how we work with internationals is on our tax advisor page.

Frequently asked

The Hague questions, answered.

Four questions we get from clients in The Hague. Missing yours? Ask your advisor

My salary is exempt under my organisation's statute. Do I still file a Dutch return?
Often yes. An exemption on your salary does not automatically remove your Dutch filing duty. Your partner's income and your Box 3 assets can still be taxable here. The exemption depends on your organisation's statute and host agreement. We assess what applies to you before we file.
I work for an embassy. How does privileged status interact with the 30% ruling?
Your host agreement usually sets your Dutch tax position first. Privileged status and the 30% ruling do not normally apply to the same income. The ruling can still matter for a partner in Dutch employment or after your posting ends. Foreign assets follow the Box 3 rules either way. We look at all of it in one conversation. Read how the 30% ruling works.
How do we work together if I am in The Hague?
We always meet on Teams or by phone, at a time that suits your working day. Our office is TaxSavers, Amsterdamseweg 71A, 1182GP Amstelveen.
I moved to The Hague last year with the 30% ruling. Which return do I file?
Your arrival year uses the M-form, the migration-year return. It covers the months before and after your move. That makes it longer than a standard return. We prepare and file it, and we include your 30% ruling. Leaving the Netherlands later? Your departure year also uses the M-form.
