About

When a client calls, they are usually worried that something has gone wrong. My first job is to take that worry away.

I was born in Turin, with Sicilian roots. I studied Business Administration there and grew up playing football, including in Juventus' youth academy. I had always dreamed of living abroad. I first came to Amsterdam as an au pair to learn English, fell in love with the city and stayed. Four years on, I have learned Dutch as well, mostly through working in hospitality.

Alongside all this, I completed a master's in economics and sustainability, which I began in Italy and finished in the Netherlands. My working life has been commercial. In Italy, I worked for a large services company, and here I moved into account management, selling packaging to the flower trade.

Eventually, I found my way to TaxSavers, and client success turned out to be a perfect fit. When clients call, something is usually unclear and they are worried whether everything is in order. My first step is always to work out what is really going on. I ask questions until the situation is clear, and often clients find their own answer along the way. From there, I look at how we can resolve their situation and whatever the Tax Authority is asking. For me, helping people always comes down to two things: solving the problem and putting their mind at ease.

I write articles for the same reason I enjoy those calls. Much of what worries clients comes from not knowing what to expect. A clear explanation, in plain language, can take away a lot of that uncertainty. It helps people feel more in control, even before they pick up the phone.
