All our guides
Each guide is a short PDF on one part of the Dutch tax return. It uses the 2026 rules and figures. You read it, keep it and share it with whoever helps you file.
A tax advisor writes each guide and a second advisor checks the figures, so the explanation holds up. You download it straight away, with no sign-up, no form and no email.
They are written for people filing a Dutch return without a tax background. We explain each Dutch term the first time it comes up.
You can see how we handle a full return on our page about help with your tax return.
Which guide fits
Start from your situation, not from the form, and the right guide is easy to find. Each ebook below answers one question the Dutch return raises, so you can read only the ones that apply to you.
Moving to or from the Netherlands this year? Read the migration guide. Own or buying a home? Read the guide on your house. Wondering how the whole system fits together? Read the guide on the Dutch tax system. Facing an inheritance? Read the inheritance tax guide. Earning on the side? Read the guide on income from other activities.
Two facts help you place yourself. The Dutch return splits your income into three parts, called boxes. Box 1 is work and your home, Box 2 is a substantial shareholding and Box 3 is savings and investments. And for the year you arrive in or leave the Netherlands you file a separate migration return. That goes online or on the paper M form.
We set out the full rules on our pages about the Dutch tax system, buying a home and inheritance tax.
The guides give you the rules and the context. When your own case needs a decision, the last section shows you how to talk it through with an advisor.
Every guide is free and yours to keep. You click the guide and the PDF opens.
We do not add you to a list, because there is no list. A guide can still leave a question about your own case. The next section is for you.
