Tax Advisor
Lisa is a tax advisor at TaxSavers. She helps clients with Dutch income tax, from everyday situations to more complex questions. She advises on Box 1 income, Box 3 investments, shares and stock options, second homes, and VAT questions for entrepreneurs.
Tax gets a lot easier once someone explains what the numbers actually mean.
I grew up in South Africa and moved to Europe in 2022. I lived in Antwerp before settling in the Netherlands. I am currently completing a bachelor’s degree in Management Accounting, with a focus on accounting, financial management, budgeting, investing and bookkeeping.
That training gave me a strong feel for numbers. It also showed me how financial decisions fit together. That is what drew me to tax.
At TaxSavers, my focus is Dutch income tax. I help clients with Box 1 income and Box 3 questions around investments, shares and stock options, and second homes. I also advise entrepreneurs on VAT questions.
A large part of my work is preparing and filing tax returns. I make sure everything is correct before it is submitted. That way, clients know where they stand and can move forward with confidence.
What I enjoy most is making things clear for clients. Tax can feel complicated. But once it is explained clearly, it becomes much easier to understand. I take the time to look at the full picture, explain the options in plain language and give clear advice that fits the client’s situation.
I also value the team I work in. It is young, everyone is willing to help, and that makes it easy to keep learning and find the best answer for each client.
I write articles for the same reason I enjoy advising. A clear explanation at the right moment can save people a lot of stress. A good article helps clients understand the basics of their situation, recognise when advice is useful and feel confident about the next step.
